Gamble of the Heart

I listed out the outcomes.

If I lose; the sun would burn-out, stars would stop shining, endless rain, the sky would fall, time will stop, the end of the world.

If I win; sheer happiness, bliss, the perfect moment, I won't need to sleep anymore because reality would finally be sweeter than dreams.

It was a risk I was willing to take,
And I did...

I lost
... and all was silent.

I felt my heartbeat, I heard the clock ticking, I felt tears in the deepest part of my heart, to its very core. The moon dimmed, the stars went to sleep, and the sun awakened.
